Louise Cowan, selected as a finalist in the TASTA Awards

Louise Cowan, Retail Operations Manager for Launceston City Mission, has been selected as a finalist for this year’s TASTA Training Awards.

Currently enrolled in Certificate IV Frontline Management with NGT Training, Louise’s current responsibilities involve supervision of staff, developing successful teams, managing projects and ensuring a safe work environment for the many staff and volunteers of the organisation. The units offered in Certificate IV Frontline Management matched the skills and knowledge required.

“We wanted to give Louise the opportunity to enhance and grow her existing leadership and management skills.” said Albert van Zetten, Chief Executive Officer for Launceston City Mission
Louise embraced the opportunity to learn new skills and has managed to use them in an effective way that is applicable to her workplace.

Nancy Pattison is Louise’s NGT Training Consultant.
“It is part of our role to recognise trainees that represent the real meaning of vocational education and training within Tasmania. Louise Cowan is one such trainee and it was a pleasure to nominate her for the annual Tasmanian Training Awards.”
